The UK’s leading festivals of African cinema unite

5 festivals. 10 films. A decade of great African Cinema (2010-2019)
Join the UK’s five biggest festivals of African cinema – Film Africa in London, Africa in motion in Scotland, Afrika Eye in Bristol, the Cambridge African Film Festival (CAFF), and Watch-Africa Cymru in Wales – on an online journey of discovery during Black History Month, from 1 to 21 October 2020.

The five festivals, collectively known as TANO (which means 5 in Swahili) are delighted to present “WE ARE TANO” – a specially curated season of 10 contemporary African features from the past 10 years, which have been most popular with our festival audiences.

The films started streaming on Thursday, 1 October and will be accessible to audiences throughout the UK. Each film will be available for 48 consecutive hours and may be viewed as many times as you wish. Films will be FREE to watch, but we encourage donations. All proceeds from audience donations will go towards supporting the participating filmmakers and the TANO festivals.
