Join us for a briefing on HMG’s strategic priorities for Africa with Harriet Mathews CMG OBE, Director for Africa at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Harriet joined the FCO in 1997. She is an Africa specialist and has held 3 other positions related to Africa, including the Head of East and West Africa Department. Harriet has also been Head of Energy in the Foreign Office and has worked in Brazil, Israel and Afghanistan. She was awarded the OBE in 2005 for her work on West Africa.

Chaired by Dr Nicholas Westcott, Director of the Royal African Society, Harriet will discuss HMG’s strategic priorities and policy on Africa and will be happy to take questions from the audience.
