Learn about approaches to teaching African history in schools in this Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training for teachers.
Join the British Museum, the Royal African Society, and the Lead Consultant on the OCR A level option African Kingdoms – professor Toby Green of King’s College London – for a workshop on teaching African history in schools. Enjoy this event in person at the Museum, or via Zoom.
The workshop will introduce new African Kingdoms teaching resources and lesson plans for Key Stages 3 to 5 (ages 11–16+). If attending in person, there will be an opportunity for a guided visit to the Museum’s African galleries. This event is most suitable for secondary school teachers. Trainee teachers are welcome too.
