The Royal African Society is marking its 120th Anniversary with a celebration of Creative Africa.

On the 2nd of November, you are invited to a celebration of African entertainment, film, fashion, food and music honouring the wealth of African creative talent on the continent, in the UK, and worldwide.

This year, in commemoration of our 120th anniversary, we are delighted to host Creative Africa – a celebration to be held at the outstanding Aqua Shard. Our guests can expect the best African cuisine, and fashion from some of the most prominent African designers Ozwald Boateng, Alphadi Sidahmed Seidnaly and Maison Artc, high calibre musical performances, including from Chineke! and Osibisa, and an exclusive auction of contemporary African artworks and other items by Sotheby’s.

The event will support the work we do to promote African voices and creativity, especially through our Film Africa and Africa Writes festivals, our educational and journalistic training programmes and our advocacy on policy & business issues, highlighting the importance of innovation and communication in creating a flourishing future for all Africans on the continent and in the diaspora.

Non-Member Early Bird ticket prices start from £175 (plus applicable booking fee), with a range of corporate tables and sponsorship opportunities available.

A small number of Corporate tables are available at this prestigious evening at the cost of £2,500 Exc. VAT. The Corporate tables mean you and up to 5 of your guests can enjoy all performances, food, and goodybags. Your table will include a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the events programme will include messages of thanks to all corporate supporters.
