This inaugural lecture will feature Ronak Gopaldas, a renowned political economist and expert in the intersection of politics, economics, and business in Africa. His distinguished career includes roles such as Director at Signal Risk, faculty member at GIBS and ALUSB, and co-founder of Mindflux Training. Ronak’s insightful work has earned him frequent appearances on leading platforms like CNN, BBC, and CNBC Africa, where he offers expert analysis on African affairs.

The lecture will be divided into three parts:

  • 30-40 minute talk by Ronak Gopaldas
  • Q&A session
  • A bar for networking

We are pleased to offer free admission for RAS members and SOAS students. For non-members, there will be a small fee to attend. This lecture is a fantastic opportunity to engage in thought-provoking conversations on the African continent’s evolving dynamics and connect with fellow professionals, students, and academics.
