We have a new Logo!

You might have noticed something different.
We have rebranded!
With 120 years of change behind us, the Royal African Society is evolving again. Today we launch a new logo to mark our anniversary. It marks a fresh, new stage for the Royal African Society as we continue our commitment as a platform for African voices and a catalyst for positive change in relations between Africa, Britain and the rest of the world.
We can’t wait to see what the next 120 years brings.
All of our programmes work to enable people to Connect, Celebrate, Learn and Debate about Africa.
Find out what we do to empower and amplify African voices both from the continent and in this country through education, the arts, academia, business and politics in our 120th anniversary film.
We will continue to:
– Foster mutual understanding and dialogue.
– Ensure African perspectives are central to global conversations.
– Share insight and instigate debate, reaching a network of three million people globally.
– Keep looking for new ways to project African voices in Britain and across the world.
Earlier this month Royal African Society Director Dr Nick Westcott gave a talk (full text available here) in which he examined the Society’s history – how it evolved from it’s problematic past to a Society that is no longer just about Africa but is increasingly of Africa.
Here is to the next 120 years!
