Volunteer Opportunities at the Royal African Society

As the Royal African Society enters its 125th anniversary year, we are seeking committed volunteers to support our work across governance, programming, archives, gender justice and fundraising.

Our volunteers play a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality public events, strengthen our institutional foundations, and advance informed dialogue on Africa and the African diaspora.

We are currently recruiting for the following volunteer roles:

· Gender Specialist (Women & Girls)

· Archivist Project Coordinator (Physical & Digital)

· Company Secretary

· Events Support Officer

· Bid / Grant Writer

All roles are flexible and designed to complement professional or academic commitments.
